Throughout your divorce, I stand by you. I help negotiate or litigate for the best possible results for you — including fair distribution of assets and liabilities, child support payments and child custody rights.

    Pre- and post- nuptial agreements

When people combine families, they need to plan to protect their children from prior relationships and plan for future financial stability. Pre-nuptial agreements can help, but you can accomplish the same goal after marriage, too. Some people prefer to divide property before anyone files for divorce, eliminating much anxiety and conflict. I help you in either case.

    Child custody and visitation

For every parent, child custody is the most heart-wrenching aspect of divorce. I advocate for your parental rights so you can nurture your children and help them maintain healthy relationships with both parents..

    Child support

Both parents share the responsibility of raising a child. I help ensure your child receives the financial support required for a healthy, happy upbringing.

    Child support modification and enforcement

Child support payments remain the same unless and until the court modifies the child support order. If either parent experiences a significant change in financial circumstances, I can guide you through the proper legal procedures to modify your child support payments accordingly.

    Child support

Divorce is difficult, but it should not lead to a financial crisis. I help you establish fair and equitable spousal support so you can continue to live as comfortably as you did before your marriage ended.

    Estate Planning

Prepare your last will and testament

Who will write your will, you or the legislature? Your last will provides the opportunity to distribute your property, establish care for your children and otherwise express your wishes upon your death. A will is necessary if you intend to leave property to a person or entity other than a blood relative, such as a domestic partner, a friend, or a charity. If you die without a will, the court determines how your property is distributed according to statute and decides who cares for your children and even what happens to your pet — making decisions that might not reflect your desires. I help you integrate your will into a comprehensive estate plan and help ensure your intentions are honored. I counsel you when you need to update your will or contract beneficiary designations .

    Protection when you are ill

Who would you like to speak for you when you are too ill to make medical choices? I help you select and appoint a Health Care Power of Attorney who can ensure that you get the best medical care from doctors and hospitals of your choice.

    Protection if you become disabled

You can protect your rights and property against disability by appointing a trusted friend or family member to act on your behalf when you are ill or otherwise unable to manage your affairs either temporarily or permanently. For many people, a financial power of attorney is the answer. For others, a Living or Revocable Trust is advisable. I help you decide which direction is best and create personalized documents to meet your needs.

    Trusts and Estates

I understand that the process of probate follows a time of painful emotional loss. I can ease the stress of probating the estate.

I assist executors in all steps of the complex process of probating a will in Pennsylvania probate court, including:

  • Creating a plan of action to probate the estate fairly and expeditiously
  • Filing the will with the Pennsylvania probate court
  • Closing and opening bank accounts
  • Transferring assets from the deceased to the estate • Paying taxes and other debts
  • Locating beneficiaries
  • Hiring professionals and other experts when necessary
  • Probate disputes
  • Paying taxes and other debts

  • The stress of a probate dispute can compound the pain of losing a loved one. When disputes arise, I maintain a composed courtroom demeanor. This helps calm the emotionally-charged process of challenging an invalid will or defending a valid will against erroneous claims made by unhappy beneficiaries. If you choose to preserve amiable family relationships, I can skillfully mediate disputes to reach just, equitable resolutions with your loved ones. When necessary, I assertively defend your beneficiary rights within the Pennsylvania probate court.
